NEW| Apocalips Shades

These area four of the newest colours from the Rimmel Apocalips range. I have been a big fan of this highly pigmented glosses since their release, and I was super excited when I realised there were a few shades I hadn't tried. The four I have are; Eclipse (deep red), Auroura (pink/coral red), Out of this World (sparkly pink) and Shooting Star (nude).

The application and consistency is exactly the same as the initial batch (for my review on those see here and here…), and these babies are just as lust-worthy as their slightly older sisters.

As you can see, they are all seriously glossy and rich in colour. They are just so beautiful to apply and wear, finding these has definitely reminded me of my long-time love for these glosses. They are so wearable, non-sticky and relatively long-lasting.

Euston we have lips off (ah sorry…),

RiRi for M.A.C Fall '13

RiRi for MAC Fall '13

I was a huge fan of the RiRi for M.A.C collection prior to this, so I couldn't resist picking up a few bits (mainly because of the AMAZING packaging). I decided on another RiRi Woo, (I adore this retro matte shade, a favourite from her first collection), Who's that Chick Lipstick and RiRi Woo Lip Liner.

RiRi Woo Lip Liner

Woo for the Win, a Liner of Gods

I adore this liner, it is so creamy and easy to apply, as well as being the perfect blue red shade of RiRi Woo, which is extremely wearable and very flattering.

The above looks demonstrate the easiness of application, making sure that your lipstick not only doesn't bleed and lasts longer, but that it looks flawless too.

Close Up - On the Lip

As you can see, the combo of the RiRi Woo liner and lipstick, create a flawless beautiful, blue-red lip. Perfect for chilly Autumn days and Fiery Christmas nights.

Who's that Chick is a frosty Orange. It just sizzles and shimmers in a flattering red-orange, which compliments a tan and darker skin tones beautifully. For a really dramatic look, you can actually do as Rihanna herself and line your lips with RiRi Woo before application, for a modern and bold lip. Gorgeous.

The above application is a pretty light one, and with no liner. If you would like to see it heavily applied or as I said above, with the RiRi Woo liner, just pop me a comment and i'll be happy to oblige.

This Autumn (Fall for you American Types...) collection by Rihanna for MAC, is yet another stand out triumph. I don't think this will be the last you hear of this pairing either, so watch this space.

Lots of Love,

Baby Lips: Part Two

Peach Kiss, Intense Care, Cherry Pie and Mint Fresh Baby Lips

This is the second part of my Baby Lips infatuation. You can see my first post here, reviewing the Blue Intense Care and the gorgeous Pink Punch. I loved them so, so much... I couldn't resist finishing my collection with Peach Kiss, Yellow Intense Care, Cherry Pie and Mint Fresh.

Peach Kiss; as it may sound... is a lovely Peach scented balm, with a subtle peachy colour when applied to the lips.

The Yellow Intense Care balm, is very similar to the Blue Intense Care, bar the packaging. I don't think you can have too many super hydrating, SPF 20 miracle working balms making an appearance in your handbags, so the more the merrier when it comes to these care oozing lip BFFs.

Mint Fresh, is a... well it's a super minty fresh lip balm. Not forgetting that all of these balms not only, feel/smell/look amazing, but they all really hydrate your pout, which is so important as the chilly months start creeping up on us. Heating and harsh winds, a sexy pout do not make. Enter - the Baby Lips.

Last, but most definitely not least is the irresistible Cherry Pie. It looks as tasty as it sounds, and gives you a gorgeous subtle red hue to boot. Amazing. Perfect for a sexy, seasonal day lip, whilst maintaing a soft and gorgeous pout for the all important Mistletoe in a few months time. Well, it's never to early to be prepared...

As you can probably tell from my constant raving, I love these balms. The packaging, the colours and most importantly the product itself. It works and looks fabulous, what more could you want?

Kisses and Love,

Really Ruby Lipstick

Topshop's Really Ruby

How many Red lipsticks do you need?... I think that's a pretty unanswerable question, because 'Red' can be a lot more than you think. Case in point - Really Ruby by Topshop. This is a Raspberry lip colour, with a Blue undertone (fantastic for making teeth look super white), and perfect for the encroaching Autumn/Winter season. As much as I love an Orange, or 'Fire-Engine' Red, I have been searching for quite some time for a blue based, Raspberry lip... an everyday RiRi (or Ruby) Woo if you will. And I think I may have found it....

If you're a fan of M.A.C's Ruby Woo (or Rhianna's very similar RiRi Woo for M.A.C), this is the perfect everyday, cheaper sister. At around £8 it's great value for money and provides and very luscious, similar colour with a slightly more of a cream (as opposed to matte) finish. It glides on very easily and lasts for ages! An absolute bargain and  the perfect way to heat up your lips as it gets colder.
