We have all heard of the phrase 'super food' being tossed around like a game of park frisbee. There are however, some powerful foods, which are easily accessible and tasty, that can greatly impact your health, and...hotness.
Some great things to consider adding to your diet are blueberries, pomegranate and acai berries. An easy route, is to buy a smoothie such as the innocent superfood which provides a delicious portion of all three. Perfect for a snack or an addition to a meal. You can also grab a handful of fresh blueberries a day or drink a tiny splash of pure pomegranate juice (like POM).
Need convincing? All three have been said to reduce cholesterol, contain HUGE amounts of antioxidants, and guard against cancers and heart disease. As well as this, they are a great source of fibre, which helps things run smoothly...
Blueberries help with brain power so are perfect to pop on porridge during exams to stay full and focused when you need it most, and acais are said to be an energy boost too!
Beauty wise, (and I'm not even joking), they are fantastic. Blueberries actually help your body produce collagen, which is essential for plump, young looking skin. And acais have been linked with glowing healthy skin too. If this still isn't enough..Pomegranates have been said to contain 3X the amount of antioxidants as green tea OR red wine, so a glass a day is not necessary if you're trying to detox this Jan!
