Millie Mackintosh for Nouveau Lashes - Belgravia

The Boxes - Portobello and Belgravia

I bought a couple of sets of the Millie Mackintosh for Nouveau Lashes False eyelashes, as I had heard amazing things about them, and needed to try them for myself. I am not an avid eyelash wearer, not without trying, but I always end up looking like a cartoon and taking them off, unless it's fancy dress. I have tried lots, because I love the look when people rock them, but none availed. I had high hopes for these, but I wasn't holding my breath…

I will just be reviewing the Belgravia Lash in this post, and I'll pop up another for Portobello really soon, as I have tried and tested both already!

Inside

Inside, you get a mini glue (non latex), mini tweezers for application, and instruction leaflet… and of course the lashes themselves.

The lashes all claim to be light, easy to wear and made with natural hair. So good, so far, I just couldn't wait to see if they actually lived up to my expectations.

The instructions are very clear and easy to use, and I love the mini tweezers; it makes it all so much easier than messing around when you don't know what you're doing. I tested them on my eye as recommended and chopped a few lashes off each side to get the perfect fit, and once on, I was really really happy!!

Lashes Before - No Makeup

One Coat of Mascara

One Coat of Mascara

These are my lashes before, and with a hint of mascara. They recommend that you do all your makeup before and then apply the lashes for a more natural look. So, I added some liner then popped them on and here are the results:

I am in absolute LOVE with these lashes, I cannot believe how comfy they are too! I can't wait to wear these out soon, and i'm so happy I have found some lashes that don't make me look like a joke. The perfect combo of natural and glam. Pretty much Millie in a nutshell then…

Keep and eye out for my Portobello review (and i'll be buying others too ;))

Lots of Lash Love,

Lush 'Pumkin' Bubble Bar

There are no tricks involved in this gorgeous little Pumpkin, it's allll treat. Simply run under your bath tap, whilst giving it a bit of a cheeky crumble, and you are left with an array of bubble upon bubble and delightfully orange water. Fabulous.

Perfectly Autumnal, this little bar of joy contains Ylang Ylang oil and Orange Flower absolute, which should make you feel all lovely and uplifted. Beautiful for these chilly nights, and short days.

There is nothing spooky about this Halloween special, except how gorge it is,

M.A.C Eyeshadow in Cranberry

Cranberry Shadow

The Colour

On the Skin

I love this shade! It is so Autuminal and gorgeous, I love to mix it with a brown to create an alternative to a black smokey eye. It's also going to be so so perfect for the festive season, I can't wait to get into the spirit of things with this super hot shade.

The above shade on the skin, is applied over shadow primer, and really demonstrates the impressive pigmentation, and labyrinth of colour within. It is super flattering on Brown and Green eyes, (but you could definitely work it into a Blue eyed look...).

If you would like to see it on the eye, or want to request any looks, I would be more than happy to oblige!

Lots of Love,

I almost want to buy another before they all go..

Jo Malone - Peony and Blush Suede

Beautiful Packaging as Always

Peony & Blush Suede

This is the latest in fragrance by Jo Malone, and it is just gorgeous. It is floral and fresh, but once developed on your skin, it deepens into a sensual and irresistible smell. It also lasts forever, I can't stop smelling my wrists and smiling (just hope no-one sees me...), it's a truly beautiful, clean, crisp and heady scent for this Autumn/ Winter.

Jo Malone rocks. Do you have any favourites by this brand?

Mani Monday: Halloween Special

Halloween Nail Ideas

Now, I love an excuse to crazy up my nails, and Halloween is just one of those times you get to go just a bit freaky. These are just a few designs I dreamt up, I hope you enjoy. I'll pop a bit of a method and the tools I used below, but this post is basically just for inspiration, so have fun!

Ghose, Jack O' Lantern, Speckles, Kitty and Mould - Yum

Furry Mould, Creepy Dead Girl and Horrid Eye

Bloodshot, Gross Eye

Creepy Dead Girl, Eye, Goop and Skull

Speckles

The Gang

Speckles, Spider and Monster

Tree Silhouette, Ghost and Creepy Moon

Jack O' Lantern and Kitty

Goop, Skull and Speckles

As you can see, the designs range from creepy eyeballs, to skulls, to goop and then tame green, orange or black etc with some speckles. How detailed and gross you get is entirely up to you, I just love the drama!

I used lots of cocktail sticks, my trusty black WAH and Models Own nail art pen in black, the OPI Skullicious set, Barry M in White and Green Gelly pot and the Maybelline Color Show speckled polish in Black. Any colours in a 'Halloween' theme will be great, it's up to you how you use them :)

Tools

I hope you liked this inspo post, what will you be getting up to this Halloween?

Spooky Love,

RiRi for M.A.C Fall '13

RiRi for MAC Fall '13

I was a huge fan of the RiRi for M.A.C collection prior to this, so I couldn't resist picking up a few bits (mainly because of the AMAZING packaging). I decided on another RiRi Woo, (I adore this retro matte shade, a favourite from her first collection), Who's that Chick Lipstick and RiRi Woo Lip Liner.

RiRi Woo Lip Liner

Woo for the Win, a Liner of Gods

I adore this liner, it is so creamy and easy to apply, as well as being the perfect blue red shade of RiRi Woo, which is extremely wearable and very flattering.

The above looks demonstrate the easiness of application, making sure that your lipstick not only doesn't bleed and lasts longer, but that it looks flawless too.

On the Lip (with RiRi Woo Liner too)

Close Up - On the Lip

As you can see, the combo of the RiRi Woo liner and lipstick, create a flawless beautiful, blue-red lip. Perfect for chilly Autumn days and Fiery Christmas nights.

Who's that Chick is a frosty Orange. It just sizzles and shimmers in a flattering red-orange, which compliments a tan and darker skin tones beautifully. For a really dramatic look, you can actually do as Rihanna herself and line your lips with RiRi Woo before application, for a modern and bold lip. Gorgeous.

The above application is a pretty light one, and with no liner. If you would like to see it heavily applied or as I said above, with the RiRi Woo liner, just pop me a comment and i'll be happy to oblige.

This Autumn (Fall for you American Types...) collection by Rihanna for MAC, is yet another stand out triumph. I don't think this will be the last you hear of this pairing either, so watch this space.

Lots of Love,
