Speckled and Freckled - Nails of the Day

Speckled and Freckled

I love the speckled look of the Illamasqua Limited Edition 'I'mperfection Nail Polish - link, but at £14 a pot, I thought it would be fun to have a go at creating my own version, with one of my favourite high street brands; BarryM.

I used the Gelly Hi-Shine pot, in Lychee as my base, and Ruby Glitter on most of my fingers, with a signature pop of Amethyst Glitter on the signature finger of each hand. I think the effect is really pretty, it reminds me of a little speckled egg, which got me thinking that it could be a really cute mani for Easter!

To get this look, it's really so simple, you just need a more nude or neutral base, and a transparent glitter polish, ideally with big and small bits of sparkle.

Do you like these nails? Or have you done a version of your own? I'd love to see!

    1. There is a link in the caption of the bottom picture :), or you can visit a Boots, or any other BarryM counter. There is also BarryM online which stocks all of their products! Thanks, me too, it's Lychee and it's amazing!!

    1. Definitely! I'd say you would probably have to do around 3 coats, but I was actually careful not to apply too much as I purposefully wanted the base colour to peek through quite a lot! For £2.99 it's such amazing quality!!
