Tresemmé Split Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner - Review

I have been using the Shampoo and Conditioner of the Tresemmé Split Range for a couple of weeks, so I could really judge the difference it made on my hair, and I must say I am pretty happy. Firstly, Tresemmé have always based themselves as being affordable products, at a salon standard, and for under £5 for each bottle, they are extremely well priced. You can get 2 for £5 at Boots at the moment, which is absolutely crazy value!

Now to the actual meat on the bones of this review. Do they work?... I conclusively say yes, yes they do indeed. I really noticed a proper difference after a couple of washes, I didn't feel the need to use a hair mask, as the drier ends of my hair seemed smoother and lot more healthy. This is a big deal for me, because I'm trying to grow out years of too much highlighting and a bit of a disaster haircut, so something which is quick and simple to use that provides dramatic results, really really gets slapped right into my good books.

I honestly think that nothing can truly mend split ends, but products which improve the appearance via intense hydration are the closest thing you can get. It allows you to have more time between haircuts, so if like me, you're attempting to grow your hair, it looks healthier for longer, and I really don't think I could ask for much more.

I have to say well done to Tresemmé for creating a range of products, which in my opinion, can rival others at 3x the cost, with pretty much the same glossy results. Hooray!

Let me know what you think of Tresemmé, do you have a favourite Tresemmé product or range?

Glossy Love, Lauren xx

  2. I've been using the Gentle Hydration range for the last 3-4 months and they've helped with my dry hair. But the shampoo contains ALS. Does this have sulphates, too?

    1. It does have sulphates yes, I checked yesterday. I normally try and avoid shampoos with them in, but I really need products that cater to dry hair, whilst I am repairing the condition of mine. You could try something like DGJ products, they are completely organic and sulphate free! Happy shampooing,
